t’s an all-boys affair for the 6th nomination night

December 02, 2007 11:38 PM

PinoyBigBrotherToday was no easy nomination day like the other Sundays that came before it. Six housemates were on the line for nomination – Will, Riza, Yayo, Ruben, Donnie and Jon. Gaby and Gladys were exempted, even from voting, for they have just joined the housemates this week. Baron, on the other hand, had immunity and a right to nominate a housemate because of his HOH status.

Jon went on the housemates’ nomination radar first and foremost for they all knew he has ‘unfinished business’ with celebrity houseguest and PBB host Mariel Rodriguez and would be better off solving this in the outside world with her. Donnie followed suit because some felt one Geisler is enough inside the PinoyBigBrotheryellow house. Will was an "untouchable" for 7 weeks and HOH Baron felt that it’s about time the model felt how it is to be nominated. Deemed as one of the strongest HMs, Baron placed will on the nomination block automatically.

Host Toni Gonzaga gave the nominees a chance to make their "bargaining pleas" to the viewers. Jon feels that he is still learning something new everyday and also thinks of his chosen charity as reason enough to stay inside the house. Donnie said that he has still a lot to learn from Kuya and his housemates. PinoyBigBrotherWill explained lastly that he wants to experience the true Filipino Christmas, with his new family and friends, the housemates.

Kuya is giving you the chance to decide which housemate deserves to stay inside his house. Text BB 1 for Will, BB 12 for Jon or BB 14 for Donnie then send it to 2331 for Globe, TM, Sun Cellular and Bayan Wireless subscribers and 231 for Smart and Talk N Text subscribers. You can also vote here or use PBB vote cards, available at all SM department stores nationwide.

HM's Outmatch The Philippine Team!

December 02, 2007 6:02 PM

PBBCE2_cheer1202.jpgThe housemates were raring for the wheelchair basketball finals since this morning. Most of the guys have repeatedly steered their wheelchairs around the house to better prep themselves up. The long wait finally took its toll though, making them sleepy after their hearty lunch. Then finally they were called inside the confession room where Big Brother instructed them to arrange an impromptu sexy cheer dance before the game.

Notching their thrill were the personalized blue uniforms that they obtained from the storage room – jerseys and shorts for the players then skimpy skirts and midrib sleeveless tops for Gladys and Baron who acted as cheerleaders! Begging for reconsideration, he asked Kuya to give him proper male clothes, all to no avail. It seemed a joke he made yesterday was taken seriously, hence the laughable consequence of his actions.

PBBCE2_cheer1202.jpgIn the activity area, Coach Noel introduced Clover, Gerald, Juanito and Rene, their opponents from the Philippine team. Knowing how tough the competition would be, the housemates prayed hard before the game proper. As it was, they were already on the losing end by the end of first half, leaving their rivals with a 20-point advantage. No amount of teasing pleas from the Wild Child could persuade the Philippine Team to slacken their pace.

Defeated, the housemates requested for a rematch even if it meant endangering 100% of their budget as per Big Brother’s additional stipulation. This time, the boys were more confident with their chances of winning. And unbelievably, they succeeded with flying colors during the second round! So don’t dare miss the complete story of this exciting battle onscreen!

PBBCE2_cheer1202.jpgPrior to this event, Gaby, Gladys and Baron were assigned to think of an appropriate punishment for the English-speaking hunks Jon and Will. Apparently, they failed to refrain from switching to their usual language when talking to their housemates. As such, the trio planned the best course of action for the duo. They decided to require their ‘pupils’ to write Tagalog poems upon Big Brother’s approval of course. Hopefully, this will keep them more in tune with their use of Tagalog words next time. Hm… Will the English Outcast and the True Lover be able to accomplish such feat? We'll know that soon enough. In the meantime, who will catch the highest number of votes in tonight’s nerve-wracking nomination? Find out later on Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 at Primetime Bida!

HM's prep for a serious game

December 01, 2007 4:35 PM

07-1201practice1.jpgIn the first round of practice, Coach Noel divided the housemates in two teams and allowed them to compete in a real halfcourt challenge without the wheelchairs. In this way, those who are not very much familiar with basketball will get the hang of the real ball game experience. The girls, particularly, learned several things like passing ans stealing the ball, guarding an opponent, and of course, shooting from the outside. The boys, of course, found it easy to play along without the wheelchairs. But because of too much enthusiasm with the game, Baron tripped while attempting to make a shot, and the Wild Child slighly sprained his right ankle. Coach Noel advised Baron to take a rest on the sideline and put ice on his aching ankle.

The other housemates carried on with the game. Among the girls, Gaby showed impressive skills in moving around the court and especially in guarding the ball. Gladys even made a joke on how the Racing Goddess was owning up the game like a guy. Riza, on the other hand, proved that she survived the boot camp for nothing and showed no fear as the big guys surrounded her. Meanwhile, Mariel did what does best and decided to act as game 07-1201practice2.jpgcommentator, calling on the housemates who had possession of the ball.

Then in the second part of the practice, Coach Noel instructed the housemates to get on the wheelchair to learn how they will move around the halfcourt as a team. They must all learn how to get the ball started from the sideline and how they will move in the inside as they attempt to make a shot. However, it seemed that most of the housemates got all exhausted after the first round of practice as they found it hard to follow on Coach Noel's instruction. Will our celebrity housemates be able to defeat the national team in tomorrow's final game? Keep it here for the culmination of this weekly task.

Meanwhile, be sure to catch Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 tonight right after 1 vs 100 to see who among Baron, Riza, or Victor will get evicted from the famous yellow house. Also, watch as Mariel bids the other celebrity housemates goodbye, and international RnB artist Akon says hello to Kuya and the housemates.
