Big Sister's Duties

December 11, 2007 12:24 AM

PBBCE2_bigsisNjon1210.jpgOn day 57, Mariel looked forward to her role as Big Sister particularly since her plasma tv gave her a perfect view of Jon’s pecs! Such hilarious moments though headed a turn for the worse as Gladys expressed her desire to quit. And Big Sister’s advice to wait until Big Brother’s return only made her more unstable. This seriously freaked Mariel out until the Big Red Phone suddenly worked! Upon receiving a call from Big Brother, she rushed on to explain the critical situation involving his latest resident. In no terms did she agree to allow exit to the Queen of Patawa under her rule. But Big Brother refused to offer his counsel since the responsibility of heading the house was hers for that time.

As such, Big Sister decided to deal with Gladys’ appeal until later. In the meantime, she proceeded with the 'Piglympics', where the piglets underwent various games together with their ‘godparents’. First off was the race to the finish line on the track followed by a food fight. But since Peggy’s brood couldn’t stay put, the housemates took the reins and fought for them instead. Yayo and Riza ruled in finishing the cereals using only their mouths. However, the final standing placed Will, Baron and Riza on the top slots, leaving those with the lowest scores on another challenge to complete the ‘Pig Four’. It required them to emulate Nora Aunor’s memorable line in Minsan May Isang PBBCE2_olympics1210.jpgGamu-Gamo. Yayo outmatched her opponents with her dramatic performance so it was up to Ruben and Jon to decide who between them would give up their ‘godpig’. The English Outcast made it easy though by agreeing to relinquish his ward without much fuss.

At nighttime, Big Sister still kept their hands busy through the continuation of their ‘Santa Housemates’ task. After wrapping the presents for the thirty chosen recipients, Big Brother’s residents wore their Christmas costumes for their next activity. This was when Gladys threw a fit after declining to join the group's merriment. How did Mariel and the housemates handle the Queen of Patawa at her breaking point? Keep it here for the latest drama and intrigue in the most-talked about house in the land!

Gladys makes her exit tonight!

After a day out of the big yellow house, Big Brother is finally back. With Gladys’ raring to leave his famous abode since yesterday, it seems that this is the first thing on his to-do list that he fixed with such swiftness. As it was, Mariel as Big Sister couldn’t be hasty when the Patawa Queen expressed her wish to quit than stay and become another ultimate pasaway for not participating on the housemates’ day-to-day challenges.

For instance, she didn’t play for the three-on-three wheelchair basketball finals because of her back problem, which everyone certainly understood. But eventually, her physical limit hindered her from fully participating in the tasks—not to mention the boredom she often felt everytime she couldn’t find someone to talk to.. Though she tried to make up in other areas, it somewhat showed that being a housemate at this time is not meant for her.

More than that however, she reached her breaking point last Monday when the celebrity housemates held a racePBBCE2_byefirst1209.jpg for their respective piglets. Handling Peggy’s young ones was really a big deal for her. She insisted that she’s fussy when it comes to hygiene and anything that may endanger her health. As such, she totally refused to play her part in yesterday’s Battle for the Pig Four. In fact, she was willing to accept any punishment in exchange for her defiance. As it happens, her one-on-one with Big Sister left her with nothing but patience to wait for Big Brother’s return.

And with his arrival earlier, in the middle of the celebrity housemates truth or dare game with Big Sister, he immediately had a heart-to-heart talk with the Queen of Patawa in the confession room. There she continued her explanation about her feelings of depression and her real reasons for wanting to relinquish her privilege as his resident. After their serious talk, the housemates came in next to hear from him the news of Glady’s departure. Then they honed in on her while she finished packing her things.

PBBCE2_byefirst1210.jpgFarewells are always hard but since they expected this for days now, they merely wished her well and thanked her for keeping them entertained during her stay. On the other hand, Gladys sincerely apologized for her weaknesses.“Hindi ko kaya. Hindi ako makasabay sa inyo.Feeling ko kahapon pa andami kong sinuway. Hindi deserve ni kuya yun… Late nako. Kayo na ‘to. Ayoko na maging competitive,” she referred to her position as a newbie.

With that, Gladys finally left the same way that Mcoy and Ethel made their exit—as soon as the huge doors in the garden were opened. What will happen now with her gone? Will this affect Big Brother’s decision to allow Ethel Booba’s plea for admission? How about Gaby’s wish to make a voluntary exit? Will there be no nomination at all because of these events? Don’t miss the whole pie of these happenings on Pinoy Big Brother Primetime Bida!

Big Sis plays Truth or Dare with the Housemates

December 10, 2007 7:11 PM

PinoyBigBrotherThe housemates were tasked to pick a name from the eggs in the bowl. Whoever is chosen must answer Big Sister's question, and if ever they fail to satisfy her with the truth, they must perform a consequence. Gaby first picked Yayo's name, and the Mom in Distress was asked on who she thinks is the housemate who has the most stinky fart. Yayo then pointed at Ruben who apparently has the ability of sending people running with his 'gas'. Then came Riza's turn to say who is the most handsome housemate, an honor she truthfully handed to Will. But when the Desirable Diva failed to justify why she finds Will so handsome, Big Sister ordered Riza to kiss her elbow. However, all the housemates got so excited when Jon took his turn. Big Sister, PinoyBigBrotheraka Mariel, could not help but to feel embarrassed over it. Big Sister then asked Jon who he thinks is the housemate who smells great. Jon first joked that he likes Peggy's fragrance, but later said that it was really Mariel. But Big Sister was not convinced by his answer though, so he told Jon to eat the fried head of the chicken.

Gaby was the most ill-fated of all when she was asked to finish a whole fried chicken by herself. The Racing Goddes failed to convince Big Sister on why she values Donnie as a friend. Baron, on the other hand, drank a shot of tequila and a hot sauce after saying that smelling his own feet is his only deep-dark secret, an PinoyBigBrotheranswer which Big Sister found so safe. But the game made a U-turn on Jon, and when Big Sister was unable to come up with a question, Yayo volunteered to do the questioning. Yayo asked what the Fil-British hunk failed to tell Mariel during last Saturday's live eviction when the two had the chance to talk. Jon, however, decided to keep the truth to himself, and as a consequence, he helped Gaby finish the whole chicken. For other hilarious happenings in this fun Truth or Dare game, watch Uber tomorrow afternoon at 5:30.

The exciting Truth or Dare, however, was cut short when the voice of Big Brother once again echoed inside the house. All the housemates were happy to have their beloved Kuya back, but for Gladys, the moment of truth has finally come. The Patawa Queen cried upon hearing Kuya who asked on how she was doing. Gladys then said that she is slowly slipping into depression, and that's why Big Brother swore to her that he will talk to her in the confession room. In tonight's Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2, watch Gladys's emotional breakdown when Big Sister failed to give in to the Patawa Queen's demand of making a voluntary exit. Later after Ysabella, find out if Gladys will push through with her decision of leaving the house.

The rise of the PBB Celebrity Edition 2 giant lantern

December 10, 2007 4:12 PM

09-1210parolgroup.jpgDespite our celebrity housemates having no contact with the outside world, this is no reason for Big Brother not to bring in the Christmas spirit inside his house. As if the big Christmas tree and the inspiring Christmas songs inside the house were not enough, it's time to bring in the great PBB Christmas lantern. For this week, the housemates will make their own giant Christmas lantern complete with different colored lights similar to the famous lanterns of Pampanga.

The big challenge in this task is for them to create an eight feet-sized lantern that has numerous blinking electrical lights of various colors. The housemates only have a week to put together this big lantern, and it would be tough for them to hastily familiarize themselves with all the tricky electrical circuitry. However, having survived one weekly task after the other, the housemates were no longer strangers to difficulties and failures. For this week, they agreed to bet 100% of their budget, but nevertheless, everyone kept a positive attitude that they will be able to win this task.

09-1210lanternvideo.jpgIf the housemates will win this task, their PBB Celebrity Edition 2 giant lantern will land a special spot in the annual lantern parade in Pampanga wherein lots of people will get to see the product of their hard labor. After Baron announced the initial instructions of their weekly task, the housemates awaited for Big Sister to provide them with the materials. Then, an instructional video was shown over the plasma monitor in the living room which the housemates closely watched. Will our celebrity housemates make the best lantern, something good enough to surprise Big Brother on his return? Keep it here to see how the housemates will work together on this task. Meanwhile, be sure to catch Uber this afternoon at 5:30 to see if Gladys will push through with her decision to voluntarily exit Big Brother's house.
