Live Fairy Tale

Monday morning began with a brand new task for our celebrity housemates. This time, the housemates' creativity and acting talent will be put into a test via Big Brother's Live Fairy Tale. At the signal of the fairy tale sound effects, everyone was instructed to pick their desired costume in the storage room and were given five minutes to get dressed. Whatever costume they wore, they must assume the fairy tale character with the personality twist.

After the instructions were handed out, our celebrity housemates hurriedly picked their costumes. Gaby becomes the boyish and ill-tempered Snow White, Ruben the dancing Dwarf, Ethel the flirty Wicked Witch, Victor the stuttering Prince Charming, Riza and Marylaine as the two co-starring Pigs, Baron the gay Big Bad Bear, Mariel the hyperactive Rapunzel, Jen as pessimistic Little Mermaid, Megan the narcissistic Goldilocks, Zara the itchy Cinderella, Donnie the nervous Ogre, Will the childish Troll, Mcoy the singing Robinhood, Yayo the socialite Mulan, and Jon as Harry Potter.

On Big Brother's signal, the narration began, and the celebrity housemates immediately acted out their chosen characters. They followed whatever it was the narrator asked their character to do, improvising dialogues to keep the story flowing. They were also allowed to pick any props available inside the house according to what the narrator says. The spontaneous and fun presentation began in the garden then moved into the kitchen as each and every character interacted with one another. When it was time for lunch, Kuya gave our celebrity housemates a break to eat.

However, the fairy tale is yet to see its happily ever after ending. Once the fairy tale sound effects goes on again, they will need to switch costumes and no one is allowed to wear the same costume twice. The First Nomination Aftermath

Most of the housemates have settled down in their comfort zones, sleeping over the relieving fact that their butts are saved for next week's eviction. Even Megan who cried buckets of tears last night had left her fears alone and concentrated on the things that await her attention for the day.

Despite the common jolly spirits of everyone, Jen remains bitter about her two-in-one status with Marylaine. The two bunked together inside the punishment room which further caused the Despised Babe to unnerve her “inmate” by emphasizing the injustice of being paired with someone who has gotten the ire of the girls.

Jen was discreetly seething until this morning as she opened up her feelings to anyone who’s interested to hear her grumbles. It was obvious that she’s still undecided whether to be mad about her “twin” or simply let her be. She thought that using their clothes without permission was intentional since annoying Mariel, Riza and her were part of the Brainy Babe’s task.

This is what she has been saying to Victor, Riza, Zara and Mariel, though the only thing that's clear is Big Brother’s instruction towards Marylaine -- to keep the conditions of the Two-in-one housemates secret. The issue regarding the wardrobe thing is still subject to clarification. Jen can hardly accept this rule since she and Marylaine have opposite personalities. How could she be nominated that way when all she did was her best these past few days, she complained. At the same time, she felt bad about her former 26K colleague for her troubling experiences so soon this season.

Life continues though with Yayo leading Gab and Mariel into the pig pen to clean it and at the same time feed “Peggy”. The newest addition to the house is a preggy pig which the ladies have to baby-sit for the rest of the week, until it finally goes into labor. The three happily bathe the pig with their unlimited water supply. In turn, Peggy quietly stayed put while the Racing Godess good-naturedly scrubed its body.

Once they were finished, Yayo proceeded to keep Peggy’s area spotless. But not only did Peggy pee inside, but she also left a ‘mound' which the girls have to sweep again! Megan then assists Yayo in dumping it into the drainage. If people expect them to turn away from this task, they will see for themselves that everyone enjoys looking after the pig. The fact that the pig didn’t make any fuss made their jobs easier.

At the moment, Big Brother is merciful enough to give the celebrity housemates free time to just laze around. That’s because a nerve-wracking competition lies ahead! For the very first time, PBB will put more pressure among the contenders by having a Head of the Household! How will Big Brother's residents take this news? And who among them will have this privilege? Tears fall!

Do good things have to end this early? It’s been barely a week for our housemates inside the Big Brother house and they have to experience nominating someone so soon. And at the end of the first Nomination Night, either Princess of Charm Megan Young or Two-in-one housemates Marylaine Viernes and Jen Da Silva will be facing eviction next Saturday.

Before the nomination process started this morning, the housemates except for Baron and Jen were informed of the two-in-one ruling for the Geisler’s and the 26K girls. Ethel, surprised at this new ruling, even joked that she alone is already a three-in-one housemate referring to her ‘assets’ as two additional housemates. The group then proceeded with the nomination process, with Mariel, Kuya’s spy joining in the activity. Although her votes were not counted, Kuya wanted to Mariel to have the complete housemate experience. Mariel wanted to give the entire 3 points to Marylaine but she opted not to thinking how it will affect Jen, whom she has gotten close with. Mariel then decided to give the 2 points to Zara for having her own little world and the other point to Mcoy for she can’t think of any one else to vote for.

After announcing Will, Riza, Mcoy, Gaby, Ruben, Jon and Victor safe, Toni let out the first shocker of the night – soft spoken Megan gets first dibs on the nomination block. Megan looked truly scared after hearing the verdict and could not stop the tears from streaming down her face. Megan got a total of 7 points because the housemates reasoned that she’s a bit aloof and they haven’t gotten to know her plus she’s a bit too ‘maarte’ for their taste specially her being too picky about food.

Jen suffered the consequences of Marylaine’s behavior and the two girls got a total vote of 15 points, earning them a spot on the nomination block also. A lot of the housemates don’t really get Marylaine’s attitude and they find her too sensitive and ‘mataray’. Jen cried her heart out instantly and felt she did nothing wrong to get the ire of the other housemates. All Marylaine could do was console her friend, not knowing that she was actually the cause of their misery.

Meanwhile, Will’s duet with Riza got two thumbs up from Big Brother, thanks to Ruben’s patient coaching. Kuya finally returns Will’s lapel mic, and orders him to retrieve it from a piggy bank inside the activity area. Will though was stunned with Big Brother’s surprise, he had to retrieve his lapel mic inside the giant piggy bank filled with cockroaches. But the True Lover had no other choice but to get his lapel mic and injure the crawly creepers he hates.

Ethel: 1st Head Household

Kuya’s not done with his surprises just yet. After revealing the two-in-one housemates and his first house guest he now introduces the Head of Household (HOH) concept into Pinoy Big Brother. How did he determine who rules the house? Simple – his own version of the kiddie game Touch the Color.

The house has been filled with tension since yesterday when Jen exploded at Marylaine after Kuya revealed that it was the Brainy Babe’s fault they were in the nomination block. The two are since then bickering inside the prison room where are they still serving time for violating the rule on nomination secrecy (Jen) and revealing the two-in-one status of the HMs (Marylaine). Megan, another nominee for this week, is also trying her best to get back on the housemates’ good side by giving Peggy the pregnant pig enough attention.

On this rainy evening, Kuya had the HMs wear giant hands as costumes. The celebs were fascinated on the differences of the hands’ designs and were even joking about the finger positions. They then all proceeded to the activity area where they discovered that Kuya wants them to play his version of the game Touch the Color to determine the very first Head of Household.

What is the Head of Household? Well, the HOH for the week get special privileges like use of the special shower room with his or her chosen housemate and immunity from the next nomination. The HOH also gets the power to automatically place another housemate up on the nomination block. The HOH gets changed and chosen weekly through Kuya’s special games and challenges. A two-in-one HM however must chose who will represent the ‘team’ in the challenges and nominated HMs cannot participate in the HOH activities.

The game commenced upon Kuya’s signal and unfortunately Mcoy was the first one eliminated from the game. This started a trend for the other male housemates followed him one by one – Baron, Victor, Will, Jon, then Ruben. Kuya heckled the boys because of this and commended the women for standing their ground. The girls fiercely competed with one another but of course there had to be only one. Gaby got eliminated followed by Riza, Mariel then Zara.

The last women standing were the Ultimate Pasaway Ethel and Mom in Distress Yayo. It was obvious from their looks that both were pretty determined to be the HOH. The two were tied at first but in the next round, Ethel emerged as the photo finish winner. The other HMs joyfully cheered her on while Kuya announced that he requires Ethel’s presence in the confession room.
